Poor Eddy Curry. The man cannot catch a break, health-wise. I think we all remember when he went through all of that grief in relation to his heart issue. Things went OK on that front, but that didn’t preclude Curry from having other health issues along the way, from his signing by the Knicks until the present.

But nonetheless, Curry was sidelined during today’s practice with a strained calf and his status for the Knicks’ preseason opener against the New Jersey Nets in Albany, NY is unclear, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News. Again, it is those darn minor health issues that continue to dog Curry as recently he has been battling a stomach virus.

Unfortunately, these issues only do Curry a disservice as for every day of camp that he misses, he falls further down the depth chart assuming newbie Darko Milicic does well during camp. Currently, the likely starting five for New York will be Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Al Harrington and David Lee.
