Clippers Kaman Will Play On West All-Star Team Replacing Roy

The “Los Angeles Times” reported Monday that NBA Commissioner David Stern named Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman to take the roster spot of Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy on the Western Conference squad for the NBA All-Star Game that will be held Sunday. Roy who was named as a reserve announced last Saturday because of problems with his right hamstring he would miss the contest.
This will be the first appearaance in the NBA All-Star game for the big man from the Clippers. Kaman now in his seventh campaign in the Association has averaged 20.2 points and 9 boards per game this season. He played a big role in the Clippers scoring some huge upset victories over some of the most elite teams in the NBA.
